At our arrival in the first village Ardea is running a fight with orcs, who overpowerded the village. We draw our weapons and kill the invaders. After defeating them we plunder the bodies and the empty houses, where we find chests and many valuable items, that we can change into gold. In addition we find the first two reading-desks, that give us +5 to our skills in ancient lore and alchemy.
Tip: In villages, towns and wildernis always try to get all loose items available, no matter if it´s gear, weapons, monster body parts or plants, from which you can brew potions. All things can be changed in gold and there is no weight limit for our hero.
After the fight the village elder Hamlar is not so pleased, because he fears the revenge of the orcs. He tells us, that a guy called Xardas leads the orcs - players of earlier gothic-parts know him very well as mysterious black mage. At the village entrance we meet three of our friends. They tell us about a raid, where all of our gear has been stolen. Lester, the fourth friend should organize new items, but he is missing. So Milten will go to the north to search for Xardas, Gorn will join the local rebells in the fight against the orcs and Diego will try his fate in the southern desert of Varant. We leave the village and head up left to the coast. There we meet Lester in front of a destroyed hut, he tells us about a pirate raid - all of the gear was stolen. We return to Ardea and tell it to our friends. Gorn is able to lead us to the secret rebell station in this area, where we can try to organize help for the village. We accept and follow him to Reddock, the rebel hq.
